This is the raw data for a study investigating integrated wellbeing approaches within a curriculum for business students. The data includes one outcome measure (psychological safety) and survey data regarding the acceptability of the design and content. University students are at higher risk than the general population of becoming mentally unwell. Dominant risk factors are to do with the university environment, including learning contextual factors and approaches to teaching. Whilst there are constraints on teaching practices driven by commodification of learning, evidence suggests that integrating wellbeing within the curriculum ultimately improves employability and life satisfaction. This paper describes the development of a multifaceted logic model that can be adapted to university contexts that enables core elements of most programmes to be mapped to wellbeing socioecological approaches to learning. A socioecological approach refers to considering the group as a microsystem representative of larger systems and integrating emotionally focused and creative learning experiences that enhance subject relevant content. We implemented and evaluated a series of workshops to improve psychological safety and learning experience. We used the logic model as an evaluation framework to map the inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes. The pre and post outcome measure of psychological safety demonstrated significant change, where students were able to be more open and explorative in their learning experience. As well as this, a survey evaluation showed that students found the project acceptable, delivered to a high standard and found the content relevant to their subject area. Given that the culture and ethos of a University can have a major influence on the wellbeing of the students, the design of the logic model provides a premise for introducing and evaluating complex learning models that support education through creative, experiential team based learning.
