Roads Shining Like River Uphill after Rain, April 2017<div><br></div><div>Roads Shining Like River Uphill after Rain was premiered by the Oxford Bach Soloists (conducted by Tom Hammond-Davies) in New College Chapel, Oxford on 15 April 2017. The solo cellist was Gabriella Swallow.</div><div><br></div><div>The composition aims to explore a new form for a choral work, and investigate how fragments of text by the poet Edward Thomas might be fashioned into a narrative which provides a quasi-dramatic arch.
